AIR SEYCHELLES PLANS TO LAUNCH FLIGHTS (16.03.2013)
In a recent press conference held in Johannesburg , Air Seychelles officials expressed their concern over launching daily flights to Doha City International Airport from Seychelles. If confirmed , the flight would begin operations beginning from October 2013 by a Airbus A330 christened 'The Creole Spirit'. It would be the airline's 2nd destination in the middle-east after Abu Dhabi.
SPICEJET CONNECTIONS TO COLOMBO (13.03.2013)
India's best budget airline Spicejet teemed up with IndiGo to offer connections to passengers flying to Colombo from Doha City International Airport. IndiGo would fly the Colombo passengers to Chennai from DCIA. From Chennai , they would fly to Colombo by SpiceJet airlines. This was hailed as a step forward by SpiceJet to increase ties with IndiGo.
MRO/HANGAR FACILITY (10.03.2013)
Qatar Airways and Oman Air invested US$ 25 Million each for the construction of a dedicated MRO and Hangar facility for both the airlines who have based themselves in Doha City International Airport.
